Organizational Development Generalist

Job Summary

Support and develop the growth and effectiveness of the organization through internal and/or external pipeline development, working closely with leadership and employees to identify areas where the organization can improve, and develop and implement strategies to facilitate that growth. Collaborates with organizational leaders and stakeholders to align the organization's goals with its operations through organizational and professional development.

Job Specific Duties

  • Assessing the development needs of operational, clinical, and corporate functions, as well as evaluating and overseeing the implementation of organizational development strategies and processes.
  • Leading the design, development, communication, and implementation of programs, policies and strategies customized to fulfill organizational development needs and achieve program objectives.
  • Coordination, tracking and facilitations of programs related to staff, leader, and learner/intern experiences.
  • Measuring the impact of strategies on performance, efficiency, employee retention and/or learner/intern experience for potential recruitment.
  • Supporting development planning for executives and emerging leaders.
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of strategic engagement initiatives, networking opportunities, gifting, and events under the scope of organizational development.
  • Offering comprehensive consultation services to employees at all levels around individual and organizational growth and development to accomplish set objectives.
  • Consulting with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
  • Coaching managers on the performance review process and the appropriate feedback, language, and documentation they should use.
  • Assessing and collaborating with management to address interpersonal and work-related issues, and consulting with supervisors and managers to identify suitable mediation approaches, such as coaching, skills training, or intervention.
  • Collecting and evaluating input from all organizational levels regarding noteworthy accomplishments, areas for advancement, highlights, and concerns.
  • Provides leaders and employees with ongoing coaching and solutions that support professional or career development.
  • Partner with operational leadership on assessment of talent, succession planning and key talent development to ensure business and talent is prepared for future growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Healthcare, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years-experience in an organizational development position in a related industry
  • Project management experience - developing and implementing strategic initiatives and leading organizational change
  • Experience in conducting team sessions, workshops, coaching, etc.
  • On stage performance, presentations, and facilitation
  • Intermediate level of MS package Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master’s Degree in organizational psychology, organizational development, or business administration preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of skills development and capacity-building strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in office and business administration software or educational/learning software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence various stakeholders across a matrixed environment.
  • Facilitation and/or Instructional design experience.
